BC Sea Kayak Leader Training (non tidal) 14.-15.05

The British Canoeing Awarding Body Sea Kayak Leader Non-Tidal qualification is appropriate for leading others on moderate journeys with no tidal or minimal tidal movement. This includes areas where it is not easy to land but there will always be straightforward land points a maximum of two nautical miles apart, crossings not exceeding two nautical miles. Wind strengths do not exceed Beaufort force 4. Launching and landing through surf (up to 1 meter, trough to crest height).

 The training is two days long, covering everything from navigation, rescue, dealing with failures to making personal skills and making the right decisions.
 The meeting place is  Kurkse port.  The price of the training and exam is 180 €, plus  BC registration fee of GBP 20 for non-BC members and GBP 10 for BC members.
 It is possible to rent equipment from the organizers, 50 € set.
