SKEG is a gathering of kayak lovers in Estonia, which will take place in 2024 from the 5th to the 7th. July in Pärnu Bay, Manilau. This summer, the event will be held for the fifteenth year in a row, and all new and old kayaking enthusiasts, regardless of age, gender and experience, are invited to participate.
You can get to the symposium by kayak. Our base camp will be Riida farm, in the southern part of the island. Camping is included in the price, but it is also possible to spend the night in Riida farm in nice barns and rooms between sheets. The two-hour courses focus on group and personal skills. Over both days there are 2-hour sessions, based on personal and group skills. Topics are covered from kit to communication, personal skills, incident management to leadership skills.
On Friday evening there will be an introduction to the courses, meet and greet and a sauna. On Saturday evening, sauna, acro yoga, slack-line, discussion groups about community and paddling together. Departure back on the mainland on Sunday around 4 PM. Since the number of places is limited, we recommend that you book your place early.

SKEG2024 will take place in Manilaid, the prettiest islet in Pärnu Bay. We advise everyone to arrive on Friday evening by 8pm for the opening and get to know everyone's meeting. Courses start on Saturday morning at 9.30. All participants should take care of their own food and drink supplies and camping equipment unless you want to stay at the accommodation in Riida farm.

WHAT TO BRING
Paddling outfit:
- Dress according to the water and air temperature. Warm clothes and a waterproof jacket are usually enough in summer. In warm weather, shorts or sports pants are suitable.
- You should wear water-resistant shoes. If you can't find something suitable, you can borrow neoprene shoes for surfing from us.
- Depending on the weather, you could wear a warm hat or a wide-brimmed hat that protects against the sun, a buff, etc.
Camp clothing:
- According to the weather forecast, a change of clothes and shoes to walk in nature.
Personal camping gear:
- Sleeping bag, mat and tent.
- Food and drinking water.
- Sunscreen and other personal hygiene items and medicines if needed.
- Kayaking clothes and camping clothes.
- Personal sanitary items and medications.
